For those of you who shared your address on this site, I put a paper in the mail to you today. Otherwise, I had our IT person put the PDFs of the paper on our school's website. And that way, I was able to fix a typo on page 1. :)

Hi all

Our "Westside Story" took Best in Show for large high schools at state competition --no one was more surprised than the staff (and moi). Three editors were out because of H1N1, so a skeleton crew had to put the paper together in time to compete--nothing like our Reynolds Reno late night though :)

We're not going to DC, but we are hoping to go to Portland--maybe we'll see some of you there.

Would anyone like to exchange newspapers? I suppose that's just another way of me saying that I need help! I'd love to see what everyone else is doing or has done in the past.
My newspaper kids got a kick out of seeing Karl's paper...especially the sexting story.
We'll have enough money to publish our first issue...then what?! :)

I have been so busy this year with just keeping my head above water. I know many of you have too. We have a new principal, new mandates from the state, changes in class structure.
